Non-Filers: Enter Payment Info Tool

If you don’t usually file a tax return, submit your information to get the Economic Impact Payment

Do NOT continue here if:

  • You receive Social Security, Railroad Retirement, or SSDI benefits. The IRS will automatically send you an Economic Impact Payment.
  • You have already filed a 2019 federal income tax return.
  • Your 2019 gross income exceeded $12,200 ($24,400 for a married couple) or other reasons require you to file a 2019 federal tax return.
  • You were married at the end of 2019 and are not submitting information here with your spouse.
  • You were not a U.S. citizen or U.S. permanent resident in 2019.

If you receive veterans disability compensation, a pension, or survivor benefits from the Department of Veterans Affairs, or your income level does not require you to file a tax return, then you need to submit information to the IRS to receive an Economic Impact Payment.

Complete this free online form so that the IRS can identify you and your dependents, and receive valid direct deposit and address information about you. This information allows the IRS to calculate your eligibility and send you the Economic Impact Payment.

Who should use the Non-Filers tool?

This new tool is designed for people who did not file a tax return for 2018 or 2019 and who don’t receive Social Security retirement or disability benefits or Railroad Retirement benefits. Others who should consider the Non-Filers tool as an option, include:

Lower income: Among those who could use Non-Filers: Enter Payment Info tool are those who haven’t filed a 2018 or 2019 return because they are under the normal income limits for filing a tax return. This may include single filers who made under $12,200 and married couples making less than $24,400 in 2019.

Veterans beneficiaries and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) recipients: The IRS continues to explore ways to see if Economic Impact Payments can be made automatically to SSI recipients and those who receive veterans disability compensation, pension or survivor benefits from the Department of Veterans Affairs and who did not file a tax return for the 2018 or 2019 tax years. People in these groups can either use Non-Filers: Enter Payment Info option now or wait as the IRS continues to review automatic payment options to simplify delivery for these groups.

Social Security, SSDI and Railroad Retirement beneficiaries with qualifying dependents: These groups will automatically receive $1,200 Economic Impact Payments. People in this group who have qualifying children under age 17 may useNon-Filers: Enter Payment Info to claim the $500 payment per child.

Students and others: If someone else claimed you on their tax return, you will not be eligible for the Economic Impact Payment or using the Non-Filer tool.

NEIGHBORHOOD FAMILY PRACTICE NOW OFFERING TELEMEDICINE APPOINTMENTS
To schedule a telemedicine appointment with an NFP provider today, please call 216.281.0872

While the impact of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic is being felt worldwide, Neighborhood Family Practice is focusing on what can be done locally. Following guidance provided by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) to limit exposure and slow the spread of the virus, NFP leaders worked diligently to establish new protocols and procedures that would allow the federally qualified health center to continue to provide much needed physical and mental health services to those in need in the community.

Telemedicine appointments – where a patient meets with an NFP provider by video or phone when video is not possible – are now available to both new patients and existing patients of NFP.

“NFP is known for providing affordable, quality health care to all who need it, regardless of ability to pay,” says Jean Polster, RN, MS, NFP’s president and chief executive officer. “With so many out of work, and possibly without health insurance, due to the shutdown of area businesses both large and small, I’m incredibly grateful to our providers and team members who worked diligently to get telemedicine up and running at NFP.”

Once the telemedicine process was in place, NFP patient service representatives began contacting existing NFP patients to reschedule needed appointments.

“We’re now seeing existing patients and new patients via telemedicine, and on a very limited basis by appointment only in-person at our community health center locations,” says Melanie Golembiewski, MD, MPH, NFP’s assistant medical director. “With the health and safety of our patients and staff at the forefront of what we are doing, we take pride in the fact that for every patient we triage, care for by phone or video or provide counseling to, we are helping reduce the strain on area hospitals and emergency room workers by keeping these patients in an outpatient setting.”

Dr. Golembiewski and Chad Garven, MD, MPH are physicians and public health specialists who provide care to patients at NFP community health centers. The two of them were instrumental in the effort to make telemedicine visits available, allowing NFP to continue to provide quality affordable care to all who need it, regardless of ability to pay during the COVID-19 pandemic.

To schedule a telemedicine appointment with an NFP provider today, please call 216.281.0872.

IMPORTANT: NFP is not conducting COVID-19 testing. Individuals experiencing fever, cough or shortness of breath should NOT go to an NFP community health center, please call us at 216.281.0872 for information on how to obtain care.
