Traditions are an important way to bond with family, friends, and community, and they play a critical role in shaping identity. Often the most cherished memories come from the unique celebrations experienced throughout our life. Traditions become even more special when they are shared with others; they bring us closer to our friends and neighbors by providing a window into the unique ethnic, religious, and cultural experiences of our community. West Park is home to a diverse array of religious and ethnic groups. With the holiday season right at our doorsteps, sharing residents’ diverse traditions is the perfect way to get into the holiday spirit. Since we can’t swap stories and share memories over meals in person this holiday season, we asked members of the community to share some of their favorite holiday traditions or dishes instead. Thank you to everyone who submitted and shared!
