Senior Assistance Fund – Senior Home Repair
West Park Kamm’s Neighborhood Development is proud to provide a Senior Home Repair assistance program that offers up to $1,000 for low-to-moderate income seniors and adults with disabilities to repair their homes. Home Weatherization Programs
CHN Housing Partners offers a Home Weatherization Assistance Program for low-to-moderate income households. The program provides furnace replacement, insulation installation, hot water tank replacement, and other services for homeowners and renters. Lawn Services
WPKND partners with Bellaire-Puritas Development Corporation to provide lawn cutting services for income-qualifying seniors and adults with disabilities. For more information, or to receive and application, contact the number on the right.
Department of Aging Programs
The Cleveland Department of Aging offers a bevy of services for Senior Homeowners, from Residential programs like CHORE, which provides free maintenance to Seniors, to Senior Employment Services. Western Reserve Area Agency on Aging (WRAAA)
WRAAA provides assistance to older adults in Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Lorain, and Medina counties. They aim to create a community that provides aging individuals and people with disabilities the opportunity to have their needs met with optimum choice, dignity, and maximum independence. Cuyahoga County Division of Senior and Adult Services (DSAS)
DSAS empowers seniors and adults with disabilities to age successfully, by providing resources and support that preserve their independence. DSAS is the mandated provider of Adult Protective Services (APS) in Cuyahoga County, and provides home-based care services, benefits assistance, outreach, and senior center programming, while advocating for the needs of the County's older adults. Senior Transportation Connection
Senior Transportation Connection (STC) provides comprehensive, coordinated, efficient, and affordable transportation to seniors and adults with disabilities throughout Cuyahoga County. STC will take you to a medical appointment, including dialysis, rehabilitation and treatment, senior centers meals and programs, grocery shopping, personal service appointments, and social opportunities. The City of Cleveland through the Age-Friendly initiative is offering assistance to older adults including accessing your benefits, information and assistance, long term options counseling, and economic security. Call 216-664-4383 or email aging@clevelandohio.gov for more information.
ClevelandCare Calls
Cleveland Care Calls: if you or someone you know would like to be checked in regularly, consider signing up for Cleveland Care Calls. This weekly automated telephone reassurance system is to ensure the safety and wellbeing of elderly adults or those with a disability. In the event the senior cannot be reached, the Dept of Public Safety may be asked to make a wellness check. Call 216-664-6316.
