Premier Hair Replacement Adds a New Hair Service to Kamm’s Corners
If you’ve visited Kamm’s Corners, you’ve likely noticed the increasing presence West Park Barber has had since opening its first location at 17134 Lorain Avenue in 2006. Over the last two decades, the West Park Barber brand has expanded to include West Park Beauty Salon, West Park Barber School, and additional West Park Barbershops throughout Northeast Ohio stretching from Avon Lake to Eastlake. Each venture is part of a grander vision that Patrick Burke, owner of the West Park Barber brand, has for the Kamm’s Corner neighborhood and beyond. This summer welcomed another piece of the puzzle with the opening of Premier Hair Replacement.
Premier Hair Replacement was born out of a partnership that began to grow shortly after the pandemic between Patrick and Theo Challouf. Both had been aware of the other for some time through the hair industry, however up to that point they had not had the chance to work together. Theo was someone Patrick had his eye on because of the strong reputation Theo had as a talented barber. When the opportunity presented itself to have Theo join the West Park Barber family, Patrick did not hesitate to offer the invitation.
Aside from barbering, one unique skill Theo possesses is his knowledge and experience working with hair systems. Hair systems are a non-surgical tool for individuals to address hair loss that have grown in popularity significantly in the last few years. As Theo grew his client base at West Park Barber, he began to see firsthand the increasing need for technicians skilled at working with hair systems. When Patrick opened the West Park Barber School in 2024, Theo joined the staff to help educate the next generation of barbers on hair systems and deepen his partnership with Patrick. Theo is certified as an instructor for Hairskeen, the company that produces the hair systems he uses on his clients.
As Theo and Patrick continued to work together at both the barber school and the barbershop, another opportunity presented itself to the pair in 2025. One of the most visible retail spaces in Kamm’s Corners at the intersection of Rocky River Drive and Lorain Avenue directly under the Kamm’s clock had been vacated and was ready for its next tenant. After taking a look at the space, Theo saw potential to branch out and open a place for him to focus specifically on hair replacement systems. Thus, the Premier Hair Replacement concept was born.
Patrick partnered with Theo to open Premier Hair Replacement to add to the variety of hair care services available in Kamm’s Corners. At Premier Hair Replacement, Theo offers his clients a full-service experience that begins with a consultation to understand their needs and determine what hair system would work best for their lifestyle. After selecting the appropriate hair system for them from Hairskeen, Theo meticulously installs the system to give a natural look and feel. Clients come from across the country for Theo’s services and one of the main reasons is because of his skill cutting and styling hair systems. Many hair system installers do not cut and style wigs or toupees and that is what sets Theo apart. From consultation to installation and maintenance, Theo’s goal at Premier Hair Replacement is to be a one stop shop for individuals looking for a hair system.
And hair systems aren’t just for those experiencing natural hair thinning or hair loss. Theo regularly works with individuals experiencing hair loss from medical reasons like chemotherapy or alopecia and traumatic events such as burn victims. He also partners with Wigs for Kids to provide hair systems for children experiencing similar issues.
To help get the space ready to open this year, West Park Kamm’s Neighborhood Development connected Theo to Cleveland Neighborhood Progress’ Middle Neighborhoods Initiative (MNI). The Middle Neighborhood Initiative is a grant program that was established to support property and businesses owners in middle neighborhoods to grow or expand their business. Middle neighborhoods are defined as stable, working/middle class neighborhoods that are experiencing neither a significant amount of investment nor decline. In the City of Cleveland, West Park Kamm’s, West Park Jefferson, Old Brooklyn, Lee-Harvard, and North Collinwood are all considered to be a middle neighborhood.
The MNI program made grant funding available to support with interior white boxing of spaces, exterior façade improvements, signage, and the establishments of parklets/outdoor space. Theo was able to leverage the program to help convert the interior of the space from a former law office to what it is today.
Aside from Theo, Premier Hair Replacement has space for seven other stylists.
